The Magellan 3300HSi scanner is the world's first imaging based omnidirectional scanner that combines the performance of laser scanners with the ability to greatly improve scanning of hard-to-read bar codes. It's field-of-view and depth-of-field supports both sweep and presentation scanning. The Magellan 3300HSi scanner demonstrates extreme reliability by using a solid-state design that does not require laser modules or spinning motors. Features of this new scanner are software based, like 2D scanning, which can be added after the initial installation, thus protecting the user's investment and lengthening the useful life of the scanner.
